How our service is meant to be used
PenScholar provides coaching, editing, feedback, and research guidance on work that is yours. We help you plan structure, strengthen arguments, refine language, and prepare documents for submission or publication. We do not write assignments, theses, or papers for submission as a client’s own unaided original work, and we expect every client to comply with their institution’s academic integrity policy. Where a client’s institution requires disclosure of external editing or coaching assistance, that disclosure is the client’s responsibility.
This distinction matters to us beyond compliance. Coaching and editing that respects your own voice and reasoning produces better long-term outcomes than work that isn’t genuinely yours, and it’s the only way we’re willing to operate.
Service delivery
Turnaround times, revision rounds, and scope are agreed individually per project during the consultation stage described on our How It Works page. Material changes to scope after work has started may affect timeline or price, and will be discussed before proceeding.
Confidentiality
Documents shared with us are used solely to deliver the service requested and are not shared with third parties beyond the specialist assigned to your project.
Limitation of liability
PenScholar provides feedback, editing, and coaching in good faith but does not guarantee any specific academic grade, publication acceptance, or institutional outcome, as these depend on factors outside our control.
